Arijit Singh



Arijit Singh was born on 25 April 1987 (age 33 years; as in 2020) in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, India. He pursued Graduation from Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj. His father’s name is Kakkar Singh who is a LIC agent and  His mother’s name is yet unknown. His sister’s name is  Amrita Singh. He completed his schooling from Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj.  He married twice in his lifetime.  First marriage with  Ruprekha Mukherjee  She was one of the finalists in Fame Gurukul. They married in 2013 but got divorced. Presently, he is married to Koel Singh. Arijit and Koel are childhood mates and nicely know each other. They have 3 children Jul, one stepdaughter from Koel’s first marriage.

Talking about his career, he started training in music at home by himself. At the age of 3,  Hazari Brothers trained him. Arijit Singh got training in Indian Classical Music by Pandit Hazari, tabla by Rajendra Prasad Hazari. He got a scholarship from State Government when he was in class 10th for his training in Indian Classical Music. 


Arijit is a man of patience, with a chubby smile, stout body with curly black hair. Talking about his physical parameters he has a chest of 40″, waist counts 32″ and biceps of 12″.


Arijit Singh started his career with his first reality show Fame Gurukul(2005) under the guidance of Pt. Hari Prasad Hazari. He then participated in another reality show which was “10 ke 10 le Gae Dil”. Arijit invested all the money in building up his studio. He worked as a freelancer creating music for TV channels, commercials, and other production houses and radio stations. He also worked as a freelance under Shankar Ehsan Loy, Vishal Shekhar, Mithoon, Monty. His debut song was in the Telegu films. “Neeve Na Neeve Na”



Arijit’s controversy was the talk of the town after the cold war with Salman Khan in the film Sultan. Salman Khan was upset by some of his comments. Therefore, he posted an apology letter requesting Salman to keep his song in the movie Sultan. later he deleted the post but it went viral. It is being reported that the song in question is “Jag Ghoomeya”, which has been credited to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
